in Mühle Alt Zauche in Neu Zauche

After many years back in Alt Zauche as a guest. Of course, we checked in here again and we haven't regretted it. Still a recommendation even under new management. The menu is smaller than it used to be, but everything is delicious. Service super nice. One would like to come back here.

The inn comes highly recommended. The finest dishes - we had veal escalope with potato wedges and a white wine mushroom cream sauce, before that a pumpkin soup with linseed oil, followed by coffee and ice cream - served by the very friendly chef personally. And all of this in a very pleasant ambience with a wide view of the Spreewald meadows.

Have stood 5 minutes in the blazing sun with other people who have been waiting for a long time. Nobody was seen by the staff, as the outside area was also occupied except for one table. Fortunately, there are better locations where not only the outside attracts.

Nice dining room with typical regional cuisine. There is also homemade apple or cherry cake. Unfortunately, there is no reliable information about the opening times on the Internet. In our experience, Tuesday is closed and otherwise it could be open from 10 a.m. It closes at 6 p.m.

Beautifully located inn in typical Spreewald architecture. Very nice service. Delicious food, especially the groats sausage. Also delicious and typical of the Spreewald: cucumber and lemonade. Also great: the large pieces of cake.
